About the event
The Cherokee National Holiday commemorates the original signing of the 1839 Cherokee Constitution. It has grown into one of the largest annual festivals in Oklahoma, attracting over 100,000 visitors from around the world. It is a focal point for Cherokee heritage, cultural awareness and the reunification of our families.
The festival is jam-packed with cultural activities and events for all ages. Traditional games, competitions, handmade arts, crafts, food, dance and music hardly scratch the surface of what you can experience here.
