About Me

My art and design styles lean heavily toward simple, clean lines and minimalist elements. The challenge (and the fun) is packing as much punch into as few lines as possible: distilling the personality, values, and goals of a person or organization into materials that both fit in and stand out among a client’s peers.

Before I discovered my passion for creating art, I fell in love with the written word (both reading and writing). It's just as easy to get lost in a good book as it is to get lost in writing a new article. Over the years, I've honed my skill in writing marketing content for the energy and financial industries, and I specialize in writing compliant content for the investment sector that meets all SEC and FINRA regulations.

My art tends to cycle through mediums: pen & ink, charcoal, pencil, acrylics, watercolor, and digital illustrations all make regular appearances in my work, and if mixing media gets me where I want to be, I’m all for it. I also enjoy working with textiles, mostly quilting, crocheting, or embroidery.

My inspiration comes largely from the natural world, and I love being outside. Whether I’m gardening, camping, hiking, or cycling, a camera or sketchbook is never far from hand. What I really love is catching a new view or perspective of a well-known subject. It reminds me that comfort and familiarity lie in how we view things, and new perspectives can make the ordinary majestic, terrifying, or even magical.
